Whilst driving to work it swooped
into my vision, wings spread,
talons ready to dig in,
scoop something away
for dinner.
Even though he doesn’t have
a tin opener, I duck!

Last time was the washing machine

This time was spiders

I think we should keep

our mouths shut

or wish to win the lottery!

The chill returns,
like the monster
in a film
you think has died.
