Interview at EDP

How exciting.

Turns out my poem was December’s most read at Every Day Poets so they asked for an interview.

The date has just been released on March’s Table of Comments as March 11th.

Happy New Writing Year

I haven’t made any writing resolutions this year because I’ll only beat myself up about them if I don’t meet them and I have a lot on this year with starting my PHD properly and work and running Slingink.

The resolutions I have made are to relax and to enjoy life more and to tidy the house. Writing should come in as part of that, as does reading and I read a couple of books over Christmas and have ordered a bunch more.

Will keep you updated on my progress.

Hope any writing resolutions you’ve made ‘come true’.

Have a happy and prosperous 2010.

The Gradual Loss of Me at Every Day Poets

I have a poem up at EDP today.  You can link to it here.

A slight twist on a vilanelle entitled The Gradual Loss of Me.

I wrote this as part of the Open University’s A363 Advanced Creative Writing course.  It was inspired by the idea that as I wasn’t having much time to write I was losing myself. I found the form made this a far more depressing poem by cycling into a downward spiral. But don’t worry the character is fictional.

Hope you ‘enjoy’
